 FIRST FRIDAY ART WALK EVENT GUIDE - Friday, October 3
 
Please plan to join us in Historic Downtown Pocatello, today, Friday October 3, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. for the October First Friday Art Walk. Come for a charming evening stroll through our shops and galleries featuring local and regional art, music, food, Fall décor, fashion, and so much more. Plan to stay Downtown for a delicious dinner, drinks, dancing, and live music. 


During Art Walk you will find:


Pocatello Art Center, 444 N. Main St., is excited to host the talented NKE Woodworkers. They’ll be sharing their beautiful, handcrafted creations and will be available in our back gallery/classroom to talk with visitors about their work. The Idaho Watercolor Society Traveling Exhibition show will also be on display. This special show features outstanding watercolor artwork juried from across the state. It’s a rare opportunity to see such a diverse collection right here in Pocatello.


White Owl Books and Imports, 427 N Main St., Suite H, invites you to come take a look at their vintage, rare, and antiquarian books that are for sell. You never know what you will find!


Trinity Episcopal Church, corner of N. Arthur and W. Lander, will have a performance at 5:00 p.m. and again at 6:00 p.m. by Trinity Church tenor Geoffrey Friedley and pianist Mark Neiwirt. They will offer two 30-minute performances of Robert Schumann’s beloved song cycle “Dichterliebe”. Complimentary wine and cheese will be served at 5:30 and 6:30. These performances will be followed by a sung Compline at 7-7:30 p.m.


Alston Ink, 245 N. Main St., will be open to help you with any screen printing, embroidery services, custom gifts, and much more!


Enchantments, 233 N. Main St., Suite B, will have several local artists and Krystal will be reading tarot cards. Gaia’s Garden of Divinity will be open and offering discounts on their silversmithing classes.


Inside 233 N. Main St. Suite C., Salty’s True Tattoo will be doing $80 flash tattoos and $20 piercings all day!


Mitera Made, 228 N. Main St., will be open from 11-8 and will have jewelry on display, the student benches open for people to explore and Adriana will be setting stones all evening if people are curious to see what that entails. There will be some puppy as well as human treats for folks to snag as they walk by! 


Purpose Tea, 224 N. Main St., will be open serving their signature smoothies and boba drinks. “Pop” in and grab your favorite drink! Oh, and their treats are out of this world!


The Martlet Brewery, 218 N. Main St., will be serving house-made beers, guest taps, wine and other creative alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. You are sure to find something you love all in a relaxing environment.


The Hygge Place, 201 N. Main St., will be hosting Fika Bakery with delicious sour dough as well as author J.W. Hodge. She’ll be visiting The Hygge Place for a special book signing event. Meet the creator of the beloved Mercedes “Sadie” Harrigan series, get your copies of Never Touch a Dead Body and Never Nap in a Casket personalized, and chat about her unique blend of humor and suspense. Old Town Alley Outdoor Gallery, behind the one hundred blocks of N. Main St., welcomes you to stroll through and experience the amazing talent in our community.

Gallows Frames & Gifts, 150 S. 4th Ave., will be featuring local digital artist Theleia M. Tremaine. Theleia has been earning a spot in the winners’ circle at the Western Idaho Fair for over 10 years and has just started dipping a toe into the Eastern Fair. Her work leans into brighter and more vibrant colors, capturing the magic of fantasy and whimsy. An attendee of Savannah College of Art and Design with a focus in Sequential Art and Animation, Theleia’s love and passion for art shines through with a mix of '90's cartoons and Comic book inspirations. After an exciting Friday evening, be sure to get back Downtown on Saturday for The Great Pumpkin Fest along with the Portneuf Valley Farmers Market Harvest Festival and Apple Pie Contest. From 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. enjoy a beautiful Fall Saturday strolling through all of the festivities. Plan to visit our shops, coffee stops, bookstores, bakeries, restaurants and breweries for Fall specials. We will be hosting a variety of guest vendors. The Portneuf Valley Farmers Market at Lookout Point will be hosting their annual Harvest Festival. The Apple Pie Contest begins at 11:00 a.m., please have your pie there by 10:30 a.m. to compete. SPIRO Paranormal and Historic Downtown Pocatello are pleased to present the 17th Annual Haunted History Walking Tours on Friday & Saturday evenings in October. Visit FIVE haunted buildings in Historic Downtown Pocatello, not just walk by them, but go inside to learn more about the history of the building and experience for yourself the charm and haunts inside! Tour dates include Fridays October 11, 17 and 24 and Saturdays October 4, 11, 18 and 25!  Tickets are $25 per person.  Get your tickets early, these tours always sell out!
